It's easy to sometimes forget a tool or method in Photoshop if it's not something you use very often. I first started on this image selecting the little girl, copying to a layer, moving over, and then began the masking. Fortunately, I thought of the Content-Aware Move tool nestled under the Healing Brush fairly quick. A quick selection, move, and done in less than 5 seconds. Cropped and ready to go.

That's a great photo, and an excellent example of a neat tool.

I just recently made the jump to photoshop from Gimp and have spent some time learning the ins and outs of content-aware move. It's impressive to think that what used to take me 5 or 10 minutes to do can be now done in 30 seconds or so. Of course I've found some instances where the move wasn't totally clean, but for the places where it does work well it's a significant time saver. It boggles my mind to think of the programming and math that went into developing that tool.

I use the Content Aware for this very thing all the time. works great on solid color backgrounds and the multi-color painted muslin as well. Sometimes the muslin need some finessing but still quick and easy.

Yeah sometimes any of the Content-Aware tools goofs a bit, usually can undo, reselect, try again, and it will work better. It sure saved a lot of time in this instance.
