I don't want to touch or use my camera even without a lens yet because i want to buy a protector for the LCD first, i placed an order for it with other items including a remote control for it and also a cable for connecting to a wireless remote, but that will take about 4-5 days to arrive since i placed the order, tomorrow it will be shipped then i have to wait about 4 days maximum, i bought the camera nearly 2 weeks now, so i really don't know what issues i can see.

Also i included a battery in my order, but i forgot or i didn't include a charger, so now i have to add it again, i will add that Metabones adapter because i don't want to wait much longer than that, but i don't see that Wasabi charger on B&H, i only use B&H, Amazon is bad for shipping to us, and i must ship to US to a private address then they ship it to UAE from that address, it is very long, so any recommendation about which charger i can buy from B&H? eBay will take ages on shipping, at best it may take 10 days or minimum 7 days at best.

I went ahead and ordered a new battery and charger...should be here friday and ill know my answer from there. When anyone charges their a7r, does it make it winding/clicking sound when you bring it up close to the ear?

Alright, that would be great if you could check. No light comes on when it is charging either as the manual indicates. I could order a battery and have it by friday and test it but want to see if yours make the same sound. Thanks!

I connected it to my usb cable going to my imac in off power position, there is no sound coming from A7r and the light orange color came on in about 3 seconds after i plugged it in.

that will give you an answer once and for all. If the camera is at fault you can just replace it. You need the second battery anyway (at least 1 more) because battery life on A7 is quite poor. Some people quote no more than 100 shots per charge, I get about 200-250 per charge with some review.

I appreciate you checking. I just hope it is the battery then if yours is silent and the light pops right on. Id just hate to go through the whole waiting process...

your results are great so far, and I like the colors which are not that easy with a Sony (I wish it was like Fuji where colors were just perfect all the time).

^^Looks like you've got manual focus down pretty well already...especially shooting wide open on a moving subject.

Why is it that every time I see a photo and say, "ooh, I really like the combination of sharpness, micro-contrast and color balance (not in this photo, but often enough the list will also include bokeh and the transition from sharp to oof areas)" it turns out to be a Zeiss? I don't know if I should be happy or sad about that.
