David, the 14-24 + canon adapter for aperture control + ND throttle + A7r is an interesting combination. I'm using the ND throttle for long exposures on the Rokinon 14, and technically should work with the 14-24, but you dont get any aperture control. Quite pleased with the ND throttle (variable ND filter / EF -> nex mount).

I might be able to borrow the 14-24, but would need to get a nikon to EF adapter with aperture control to test. I've definitely been eyeing that lens because I really do love 14mm.

This is my first ever shot by A7R, using/testing Canon TS-E 24II, happy with the camera and the lens since that time.

I do really like the aperture dial on the Metabones adapter. No detents, but very very smooth and easy to operate. Putting the camera in aperture-priority mode seems to give a good exposure.

The markings on that adaptor and the nicer looking aperture drive mechanism inside the adaptor were the reasons why I chose it over the novoflex. In experience though, the markings aren't all that accurate.

I did the update to my A7 last night so today i'll take her out and see if the autofocus with the native lens is indeed faster.

One more. Hopefully, there will be more sun tomorrow and I can show off the Crystal White Tricoat paint better. It almost has a pearlescent look to it.

gene,
Nice American car, congrats

Thanks Tony. I really loved my Toyota Prius that I had for 7 years prior so hopefully, the Cadillac will be as good to me as my old car was.
