whether they support full frame, I do not know.. previous release of a nice wide aperture zoom lens was for crop.

Rented the A7R and metab 4 for a Monument Valley Day.

I really liked it but did not like the controls overall. I am still tempted but may want to wait until Feb to see what they announce for next generation.

Favorite feature is focus peaking with the 24 TSE was really cool

Need to clean up flares and remove the car

after shooting canon for a near decade, the sony controls were very alien to me, but stick with it, and I think you'll see that it's quite possibly better than canon. you see everything in the VF, and it's basically better, save the joystick, which sony doesnt offer. With canon, I have to dig into menus often, however not the case with sony.

it just takes time, since the controls are quite different.

Beautiful shots Paul!

I become mostly accustomed to the a7 menus in my 10 months of use, but I still prefer my 5D III's user interface. The a7 lets you re-map a few buttons with a limited selection of functions (about the same as the 5D III), but I love the 5D III's custom "My Menu" page, which can be set to always display first. That's where I put all my favorite menu functions, so I don't ever need to scroll through to find stuff. I hate having to scroll through the menu to format my card, or get to the play memories apps, etc.

Also I like that my 5D III offers three custom shooting modes on the mode dial. I have mine set to optimized settings for C1: single-exposure landscapes & architecture, C2: HDR landscapes & architecture (7 brackets), C3: action and wildlife photography.

Also, there is one glaring omission from the a7 menus: no mirror lockup. Anywhere. What was Sony thinking?? Kidding, of course. ;)

Thank you all. I can see where I could love the camera. For manual focus like with the TSE 24 It was SOOOOOOO easy and natural.

With the focus peaking i felt like i had my youthful eyes back and an AE1 in my hands.

It remains on my wish list pending $ and rumors of next gen
