turns out my nikkor 105 is not bad against the sun. no flares nor ca. if you look at the shadows on the first image, you can tell i'm directly in front of the sun. I had flares problem before. I guess the culprit was the Sigma DG UV filter that comes with it when i bought.

no editing. just import and export in captureOne.

Cheap - Commlite or Kaavie (under £100). Expensive - Metabones

They all have the same functionality

why is the metabones so expensive?

world's smallest 200mm on world's smallest ff camera :-P

spotted this on keh, and grabbed it. Too bad I dont have the adapter yet, but even with adapter, looks like it'll be fairly small and it's definitely light.

right, it's the 200mm F5, strictly use for landscapes, so I dont need anything fast. I was concerned that a slow and old lens would not resolve well on the a7r, but thankfully, I was wrong, this is sharp wide open, however, it has CA wide open. Correctable, not too big of an issue. The f4 version is even less expensive, however, I got this one due to it's size and uniqueness.

another view with my adapter on. Sits next to the sony 24-70 f4 and 55

Was wondering the same! Maybe to prevent zoom creep?

it's like a lens band to prevent from creeping. I had a 24-105 that tends to creep, so when I bought the band, I bought a bunch and put one on every zoom I had. It stiffens the rotation just a bit to prevent creep over time.

it's just a silion wrist band, not the actual lens band brand.
