Compare the shots taken with both camera bodies in the TSE images thread, then compare that thread to the 17-40 or Samyang threads would be my case. If its for landscape or architecture, the TSE is right up there. The A7r also looks great, I just think there is more immediate value in the versatility of the lens, others may disagree. I guess you have to ask yourself what you want more - tilt/shift/large image circle 24mm lens or more dynamic range/MP. It's a win win kind of a question for everyone, except your bank manager! But I just bought the Voigtlander Nokton 35/1.2 II and it's showing a lot of potential for night street work:
