Thank goodness that i don't sell and re-buy gear, i only sell when i know 100% i don't use it, i don't sell even if i am sure %95 i will not use, because i know i may buy it or use it again when i needed, so that i will not sell my 1Ds3 because i have 1DX and A7r, i know that 1Ds3 can be a backup camera for both main cameras if one is stopped working or was sent for service, and for landscape i prefer 1Ds3 over my 1DX, but A7r became my main camera unless i have issues to keep me using only Canon.

Anyway, is 5D3 and/or 6D worthy now for me as long i have 1DX and 1Ds3 and A7r?

According to your gear list you have the budget to buy anything, so why not add a 6D?
A bit better ISO than the 5DM3 and it has the wifi function.

You don't really need the AF of the 5DM3 because of your 1DX.

Hmmm... not sure. I have a 5D3, Sony A7R and a 5D2 as a backup.

With this setup, I feel like I can do pretty much anything.

So your post showing that 6D is only better because of its high ISO, and i don't shoot high ISO things beside sports, so what else i can use that 6D over A7r or 5D3 for example?

Yes, i can buy 6D no problem, i can also buy 5D3 but the budget of 5D3 i can put on other better things or more important than just a body, such as TS17 or another 1-2 lenses for Sony A7R, 6D price is not that expensive, but i know that i will buy 6D and throw it in the bag like new until i decide to sell it with lose, at least 5D3 will have more use because it will be the second main body for landscape next to A7R more than 1DX and 1Ds3, but i will not buy 5D3.

But i am just confusing about those who buy A7r and 5D3 and even A7 and have them all together, what the reason? I bought 1DX to replace my 1D3 and 1D2n and i offered 1D3/1D2n for sale, 1Ds3 still better mp over 1DX slightly in low ISO before i bought that A7r, if i bought A7 or any other full frame camera with 24mp or higher [not A7r] then i will put that 1Ds3 for sale immediately.

Thanks David. Exif should be attached but just in case:

A7R
Canon 17 TS-E

25 sec @ ƒ4 - ISO 10,000

I liked the conditions so much, that I returned to this spot last night as well. I think I found a better composition (had to get wet at 3am isn't fun!).

So, I think this is my new happy place for awhile.

Really cool, keep em coming!

So tell me, are those stars be shown clear in August or September in USA anywhere in very dark location?

I didn't confirm yet, but i will try very very much so hard to travel to US this year after long time no travel, so i hope the weather will be nice and i can access to some of those landscapes/nature locations, and definitely i would like to do some stars shots or even stars trails if i have time in the darkness alone.

Hi. I did sell it. But I immediately started missing it. And traded my 6D for another A7r ultimately.

Yes, the A7/r has it's issues, but it's definitely fun to shoot with it. :)

Glad to see you got another one.

Tareq- easy; add to your plan :
1. San Francisco
2. Yellowstone National Park
3.fly to Las Vegas: the city has many photo ops; 45 minutes north is Valley of Fire; 30 minutes west is red rock: 2 hours north is Zion in Utah; 2 hours more is Bryce Canyon; 4 hours south is Grand Canyon, or you can take a helicopter ride...there are many more national parks in the area- in Arizona and Utah.
Las Vegas: this one with A7r and Canon 17-40 mm; on small table top tripod

Tony, i really wish to go all around in USA mostly those Western states from North to South and some Mid-west states, but i have short time trip, and i will try to focus on 1 or 2 states, also i will not drive so i don't think i may do much in PNW anyway, if i can do a lot in PNW in short time and i am satisfied and done the job and i still have enough time then i will plan to go far to California or Utah or Arizona, i was thinking of Colorado if i am done with Wa and Oregon.

Riding a helicopter will destroy most of my budget, i will not have that big or deep open budget when i travel, and most or all workshops asking fortunes while i only need transport and not lectures about how to photograph and where or when.

Pass by Las Vegas and you can stay with me and I can drive you around if I am in town and not traveling myself, we can plan and set our schedule.

That will be great, then check out your schedule in August or September, i will travel in one of those months [not both unless i travel at the last week of August], mostly i will be there in September and if i am done with PNW within 10 days or 2 weeks then the last week or the remaining days i will think to go to Las Vegas and stay with you, i would love to have photography trip there with others as it is your area and you know it better than me, and i am willing to share my gear if you need something to try or use.

Thanks, I am okay with my gears, I have A7r, 5D2 and 7d with 55 mm lens, 17-40, 24-105, 70-200, 100-400, 5, 85 and elmarit 28. Sure we should have enough with your gears, and we can rent from local store here too if not from lens rental etc. If you want to shoot with models we can also arrneg that with my meet up groups. I also have 4x AB800 and backgrounds.
