Nice idea and execution John. Did you have much trouble getting a good exposure?

Fantastic John.. I love the "altered color"
Some sort of heliconia or ginger..I can't tell from the color ;)

Klystron, I've been waiting for the "light" shot! I was contemplating doing it myself! :)

Stina, wonderful bay shot. Is that the bridge that has been under construction?
I love coming in to SFO from Seattle..(SeaTac) Such a great view!
From here it's that low over the water landing!

Thanks and nahhh... it took 3 shots to get it nailed and was able to get the custom white balance on the first try. I was pleasantly surprised with the custom white balance, so much prettier then red... :)

Hi everybody. Wow, everyone is so good at this. Great images.
I've never done anything like this but after talking to Jo and OhLook I thought I would be brave and join. I have decided to shoot exclusively with the Samyang 14mm f/2.8 that, for those who don't know this yet, I have no idea what to do with. Maybe using it every week for this thread will give me a handle on the thing.

I thought of light reflecting and played with that a bit.

And here I shot the theme literally, at the Rembrandtplein (Rembrandt Square). I thought it looked kinda cool. It's probably not very creative...

I hope these are okay?

Thank you! We received about 3.47 inches of rain, but now the clouds are clearing, the sun is shining, and there’s a slight breeze. What a beautiful day!

Here's pretty much the same shot looking up over the ridge in daylight:

The sky was beautiful today!

Those are great, Levina and I have to agree with Joayne on that first one.

Beautiful shot Stina, and that's exactly what I meant....your beautiful Bay, in all kinds of light. And what a wonderful bridge...not spectacular like the Golden Gate or the Bay bridges, but impressive all the same. (I presume its the San Mateo Bridge). I've always loved bridges as epitomising the engineering skills of each age, and the US is full of wonderful examples. I lived in my boat in the shadow of the Newport Bridge in RI for several months...stunning!

Thanks! It is the San Mateo Bridge. I like the bridge because you drive so close to the water for a while. I don't know of any construction going on with this bridge, the Bay Bridge was a big project though.
