Sorry, the thread went longer as i thought, so read at own risk :P

It was almost a year when i started thinking over my equippment and decided to rebuild what i had.

I was shooting everything so it was less helpful let me guide through the gear-decisions based on what i shoot (because then i have needed maybe every lens canon made :-P). After that year of buying/selling lenses to see what suits me most, i looked through thousends of photos i've made, and picked maybe my 20 best to edit them to the perfection. After looking at the lenses i've used for them, i decided last week to buy the 24mm Tilt-shift and that i dont need anything more. Dont need, and dont want ;-)a

Even thought i need a lot more to learn about the tilt-shift, I think i've found a confidence in my current setup. I still have a few lenses and a camera i'm trying to sell, but other than that i dont need anything more.

I describe here why i went that route with my gear:

16-35mm L f/2.8
Since i bought the 24mm TS-E this lens looks pretty redundant, BUT, for travelling and citytrips it may not be the sharpest, but most suitable and versatile lens. I surely keep that lens as it has served me very well. And like i said, it may not be the sharpest but it is sharp enough for me for non fine art architectural or landscape sceneries.

24mm L Tilt-Shift II
Bought it few days ago and love it so far. Bought it as i've seen ive done more landscape and architecture as a firstly thought i'd do. Also i find 24mm a nice focal length for street photography stills sceneries.

50mm L f/1.2
Well what do i need to say about this lens. As my main style is street photography, stills photography and things with a lot of BOKEH (and i know i love bokeh), which lens could serve me better at a versatile and standard focal length? I love this lens, its my favourite lens i've ever used, and has brought me more keepers and top pictures than any other lens.

135mm L f/2.0
I do little portraiture, used this lens maybe a hand full of times. But everytime i used it i love that magic lens. I everytime say to myself go use that lens a little more! However i couldnt sell this lens. Was my first L lens and if i need it i would facepalm myself if i would have sold it.

70-300mm L f/4 - 5.6
Bought it for a trip to dubai/abu dhabi and used it a lot. I think a nice tele should always be in the repertoire. Also i like some compressed shots. Sometimes i get that cinema-like look to an image using this lens and its tack sharp also! Not the fastest lens in terms of aperture but at night i dont do much tele-photography. And until now my 6Ds low noise-high iso capability has served me well.

Forgot to mention my 40mm since ive lend it to my girlfriend. Well, great small lens, will keep it since it was so cheap :-P

Thats my setup now. Ive lusted after a macro 100L since 3 month, and realized a few weeks ago that i wont find much satisfaction in photographing my girlfriends eye in macro or to see what a piece of cake looks like in 1:1 magnified.

Those lenses along with my 6D, and a 600ex-rt flash and a cheap tripod is everything i need. Im happy somehow, i guess my GAS is gone :)

Congratulations! I hope your done.

Every time I think I'm done something happens and I want more - or I want to change something.

I'm getting older and have come to the conclusion that old men have GAS. Well at least this one does.

Enjoy your setup!

Thanks for Reading & Good Luck - Jim

Honestly if i wouldnt have so much fun i could live with the 16-35, 50 and 135. But its too much fun using specialty lenses :-P

But thanks i think its really covering my needs good...
