Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

Maybe Nikon lost some serious customers to the 1DX and this is a competitive response. [Although to points from Andrikos and FarmerTed1971, it does look like a feeble "upgrade" just looking at the comparitive specs.] That's more than can be said for Canon, which has still made zero response to the D800. Why can't, for instance, Canon release an "improved 5D III" with a new 44MP sensor (with full optional 22MP raw output)? The 5D III is awesome in so many ways - it just needs a great sensor to go with it. So, I like that Nikon is competitively responding to their market. Canon doesn't seem to be. That's exactly my thinking. I've shot the D3, D3s, and the D4. All of them performed to my expectations. andrikos wrote in post #16716409 I picture you as the Jay Leno of the Photo world... ![]() Do you have a photo garage somewhere that we can all visit? ![]() Lol! All I have is a measly closet!! I've already sold my D800. I'm keeping my E.
