Hi, I upgraded from elemnts2 to cs2 and am dissapointed to find out that CS2 does not have a selection brush tool. This tool works like a brush, which you can make any size) that you can draw a mask on with.

So, what alternate method would you reccoemend for drawing a mask, say if I want to select a face, or to clean up a magic brush mask for selcting a large area or border of an object?

Magnetic lasso - click and hold on the lasso tool. Tweak it with the lasso. For solid colors use the magic wand.

I believe the tool you are looking for is called "Quick Mask Mode". It is located below your standard foreground/background colors. Or simply look this up in the help.

Yes quick mask tool and the brush colour black will select and white will deselect. it looks like you are painting red but the red colour just shows the selection
