I'm in search of something that will make my M a little easier to hang on to when using it for video. I have no problem getting steady handheld shots out of my 6D but the M's tiny stature and lack of weight make it a bit tougher for me. I like that the Fotodiox grip is easily removable, since I don't want to use it all the time, and it looks pretty beefy.

Just wondering if anyone has used it and what the ergonomics and build quality are like?

I have one. Don't like it that much. The grip is small. And the frame where it wraps around the battery cover, digs into my palm.

Thanks for the heads up, does it provide any extra support at all? Most of the grips I've seen for the M look even smaller than this one.

Do you by chance have a link for that grip? I did a quick search but only saw battery grips for other EOS line cameras. Any noticeable differences between the Meike and the Fotodiox?

It does provide some support because there's a foot for the fingers but it's not large enough IMO. And it's not rubberized like a camera body so it's not very reassuring.

Thanks for the heads up I'll probably keep looking then.
