Opinions needed on Mefoto Roadtrip and Globetrotter

Headed to Kauai in 2 months and with tax return money on its way, well its time to upgrade the tripod. Either version I get will be in Aluminum. I am headed home to measure my carry on bag size to see if the Globetrotter will fit.

Otherwise what are peoples opinion on these? T3 with 15-85, when I upgrade I dont plan on leaving the crop lineup. 95% landscape use for it, I try to shoot as little as I can from eye level.

For the camera/lens combo I would just pickup the roadtrip. No need for the additional weight/length of the globetrotter. Depending on how tall you are you probably wont be eye level. I just recently picked up the Roadtrip, but am probably going to return. Mainly as fully extended my body/lens combo is a bit much for it. I can grab some pictures later tonight if your interested.

I am 6'2" so I dont think even the globetrotter will be eye height fully extended. What I have now is not all that sturdy and I dont wanna fall into the same thing again.
