I ran across these yesterday. I have to admire the salesmanship involved in getting paid for these? ; D

I wonder if any of these photographers were retained for the wedding? Their creativity is boundless.

I don't know that any of them were "mortifying" and "hilarious". They were corny, hacky, pointless, and bad ideas Mortifying and hilarious might be a bit be bit of hyperbole, though. Except maybe for the homeless guy loosing his pants in the background.

For most of them, though, it looks like the clients got exactly what they wanted.

# 7 Looks like they blocked out the watermark, and only cited some random website. Wonder if they can get sued for that?

Not a particularly strong images...but still.

I would have to say the photographer can not take 100% of the blame for all of these. There are a couple that are the photographer's fault but the majority looks like the customers got what they paid for.

I truly hate clicking through sites like that at 1 photo per page. Nothing more than a page view scam to rip off advertisers.

No, I never claimed to be outstanding in the field of photography. I said I was out standing in the field taking photos.

Honestly, I can say that I know a lot of people that would pay for photos with similar concepts. I'd like to think that my results would have better technical execution, though.

Wow. That guy showing plumbers crack down the street was charming. Maybe he was helping kids so they had somewhere to park their bikes. The photog never heard of crop? Those are so bad they have to be fake.

I don't think this is true. I think that the members of this forum generally have much higher standards than most, and less tolerance for crap.

Last week's episode of Scott Kelby's web show "The Grid" had portrait critiques by Peter Hurley. On that show, there were some submissions that weren't too far removed from these "mortifying yet hilarious" portraits.

What through me off was that guy sitting on the street showing his tucas off. Was a blind person editing that one? You are probably right because even though it is hard to believe how bad they are, when you think about it, it is a big planet.
