Hi everyone,

I currently use 90mb/sec sandisk CF cards and have noticed they have 120mb/s and 160mb/s out now.

What I'd like to try and find out is how fast the camera itself can write to the card to clear the buffer. It seems pointless buying the 160mb/s cards if the camera is limiting the speeds to only 80mb/sec.

Camera speeds I'm after are for the 7d, 5dIII and 1d4.

Thanks

Looks like the 5D MKIII will hit 120 MB/s for video.

The 5DIII best RAW write performance was a mere 80.2MB/s according to Galbraith tests with 1000X memory.

That's only relevant for those who shoot raw video.
