Looks like you got a good copy of the "Dust Pump", Dean... Kuddos!!!

:D

Yup. Very clean copy. Hardly used, by the looks of it. And no visible dust inside. Very happy with the results so far (backyard birds, dog). Seems to do very nicely for portraits too, actually, given enough room between myself and the subject.
Can't wait to take it out for a spin at the pier or at the HB library park for birds.

Interesting looking shot, the background looks miniaturized. Anyone else seeing that? What would cause this look?

Nope. Seller here on POTN. Was local, so I drove out yesterday to meet him in Rancho Cucamonga. Checked out the lens in person, played with it on my camera for about 30 minutes, then brought it home.

It does. I noticed that too...Tilt shift lens would do that, but this seems unlikely in this case. I'm thinking a side effect of the A7r Gene uses combined with whatever lens he shot this with?

Great shot, the long lens line-up, and all the surf shots look great!

I didn't at first because I was busy dreaming about owning a CTS-V wagon.

I bet Gene added some lens blur in post and that's why it has a tilt look to it, or he picked up a TS and didn't tell us about it.

Boy, I can't get anything by you guys. :D I did add the tilt/shift blur in post to give the car a little more separation from the background.

^^ Perfect shot, Pat... Sharpness, DOF, and exposure... Well done... And his eyes say it all... Too bad we don't know them... Would've been nice if you gave them this wonderful candid...

Lovely shot, Pat.

^^ Thanks fellas... Not tooting my own horn but it was dead on and I mean everything was shot right settings and all. My wife saw that picture last night and asked if I were the one who took the shot and told her it was my brotha Butch hehehe. Wish I could've gotten their names but got distracted with some BIF's hehehe ;) ^^

At 1/8000 it's just feels right hehehe <----- ;)
