Thanks. This guys been living in my yard for the past year. Very territorial. Shoos everyone else away.
I took a dozen or so pics of him this evening. I'll post more soon.
Getting him in flight has been impossible so far. He moves too damn fast. But I got a few of him sitting there. He's fearless and I can get pretty close. Most of the shots, including the one above were handheld with the 100-400 which I was expecting to be hard, but gave me surprisingly sharp results.

Bought a Kenko 1.4x.

Pretty satisfied from what I'm seeing wide open. Can you tell which is which based on sharpness?

Roll call would be: me closest to camera. Butch, Pat, Pat's friend, Robert. I think.

Considering a kendo 1.4x myself. But not sure how well it works with the 100-400. I think I lose manual focus. Anyone know for sure?

No idea. Some had mentioned they wanted to meet up so i am throwing it out there. I think Dean wanted to play with his new 100-400 and possibly Owen as well.

I may or may not come out tonight. Never been to Bolsa though. May be time to check it out.
