I thought the GF puffer was pretty nice for being limited to onboard flash.

Just got an email from Calumet last night offering 18 months no interest. ???
Loved the rental dept, rent on Friday return on Monday, charged for 1 day. :(

My throwback thursday contribution. A buddies' 8 month old at the time.

Calumet Photographic, a Chicago-based camera supply and photo services provider that first opened 1939, has abruptly closed its doors and filed for Chapter 7 liquidation.

Calumet said on its Facebook page that it was closing its stores in the United States, but that its European stores would remain.

Not to sound like a vulture, but chapter 7 liquidation probably means they'll might have existing stock of stuff to sell on the cheap, through some avenue or another.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

Probably branded stuff will go off to other vendors, but the Calumet branded items should be cheap when sold off.

Thanks Joon. Bring something to lay down on so you don't make the same mistake I did and get a bunch of thorn grass stuck all over your clothes.
Now that I think about it, I wish the idea for this shot came to me when we were back on the concrete.

wow did anyone see that coming? (Calumet closing...) I had no clue they were tanking. I'd vulture that though! ha... Def too bad about the rentals, that was a strong point for them for sure - super easy to deal with

Are you the one that flys often in that crazy helicopter that moves up and down parallel and south to runway of LAX?
But you seem to be on "No man's Zone" of LAX. How in the world did you get there?

A fast moving late afternoon rain shower rolled through today. Big fat rain drops were coming down so I stayed under my patio cover.

This was the view from the other end of my patio facing west. It was raining at the time I took this shot too.
