Wow. Very nice. Didn't know you could see the MW from Corona Del Mar. I'm gonna have to get down there ASAP. You planning any other night outings there this week?

Just driving by and I saw this ... quite beautiful really! I'm guessing, but were you facing south? Thanks for posting.

Thanks, not planning on it, other than maybe the fair. Possibly going camping with some work people this weekend.

If you're doing your own framing, I found a great place in Anaheim for acrylic: Orange County Industrial Plastics. They charged $105 (after tax) for a 4'x8' sheet of non-glare Acrylite and cut for free. I got 3-24x36, 1-18x24, and 6-11x14 from one sheet (be aware that you lose 3/16" from saw blade during cut). I'm happy with the end product.

Can you take a quick snap shot of what your final product looks like, Zomboni? Would appreciate it...

Quick snapshot of the finished product. I must say it looks far better in person.

Photo was printed at FotoworksPro (Tustin).
Frame (18x24) was from Aaron Brothers during one of their every other day 50% off sales.
Front is non-glare Acrylite -- I got a 4'x8' sheet from Orange County Industrial Plastics (Anaheim) for $105 after tax.
Matting was ordered from wholesalematboards.com for ~$6.50 ($10 flat shipping, but ordered multiple mats).
Foamboard backing was from Jerry's Artarama -- ordered bulk online even though they're local due to laziness.

All in all, sure beat paying $300 at Michael's or Aaron Brothers for custom framing.

Excellent lighting on this one, Butch! And of course, great model, as always!
Love the new (to us) location...Never thought of shooting at the Santa Fe Dam area...Looks like it could be promising.
