Thanks Charlie, nope, just natural light-which was none since it was a new moon. Actually not happy with the shot but liked the composition.

Thanks, Joshua Tree. Was a mad house with tourists, had to wait til around 2AM for most people to leave.

Thanks, yeah am enjoying it. Would like the A7R2 but can't afford it so got this to hold me over for a couple years.

Yeah we're all drooling for the a7rii. You could sell the 5dIII and A7s to get the a7rII. Just sayin :)
Or you'd like to still keep the Canon? I've been on the fence myself about straddling both systems or committing to one.

I'm not willing to sell the 5d3, just a preference. I was holding put for the R2 but after seeing the price I jumped on the A7S with the hopes of getting the RX100-4 as well.

Gotcha. I am still attached to my 6D (and considering a 5DS)...Despite the myriad advantages of the Sony system, I do find myself still wanting to have the Canon and their lenses still at my disposal....Too many options!

Well, if push comes to shove, and somehow you dun like the 1DX, you could probably still offload it for a slight profit for the rest of 2015 and first half of 2016. I call that a no-lose situation ;)

At this moment, yes, Dean... But the 1Ds3 will be on the selling block soon... It'll be sad to see it go, but it served me very well in the past few years... Truly a workhorse of a camera with lots of life to be used for another photographer!!!

:)

If you had a Sony A7Rii, you could have 5-stopped recovered the shadows! j/k. Great photo.

Saw this guy in my backyard, sitting on a tree...The 100-400 can do "macro" in a sense.
