Can you keep us posted on if the wildflower fields are going to be happening this year? I remember the 97/98 rains really made that area fantastic.

Will go out to check the wildflowers next Thursday, though I think it's a little early yet. Will be keeping a close eye on the wildflowers in my area and will let everyone know how the flowers are doing this year.

Just arrived at mom's house here in Huntington Beach, CA and will be here for at least a week. So no flower updates for a few days unless I see some surfers at the pier with flowers in their hair.

Where you headed to shoot the moon? (here's one from tonight, not full yet)

Oh, I actually caught something transiting across the moon. Up on the top, there's this big black dot. At first I was like, "WTF?! DEAD PIXELS!?" Then I looked through my series of photos and saw it moving across.

Not sure what it was/is. But thought it was kind of cool. Perhaps a GIANT balloon. Or just a UFO in the literal sense (not necessarily extraterrestrial).
