Clouds look particularly good right now. But I'm too lazy to drive somewhere. Might try and shoot out on our street or some such.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

I agree with Butch, take the Big Stopper, you may want to ghost out the tourists.
This was taken sitting on the steps, it was starting to rain, and the camera sitting on my shoes since tripods aren't allowed!

Yeah. I've never been to Joshua Tree. I'd like to hit that up soon too.

I'm down for some Joshua Tree. Dates are a little picky but I might be able to figure some time out. When are you guys thinking?

Spring Break time...:) No work for the next 10 days. Going to be in Newport Beach so if anyone wants to shoot some surfing or sunsets, I am right on the sand with nothing to do. If your in the area and are in need of a refreshing cold drink, I will be happy to help out.

Joshua Tree is awesome. Need to plan for overnight and reserve a camping site. Pick a date that's new moon to illuminate all the stars and milky way. I captured these a few years ago. Love to do it again.

I go about once a year usually Feb - March to try to get some flower blooms, no rain...:( , so it has been kind of a bust. Mostly hiking and not taking photo gear with me, but did sneak a couple from time to time. I can only imagine with you guys using all the filters and such what great shots you can get.

When I first moved to CA my wife and I went to Joshua Tree to camp with some friends. I woke up in the middle of the night to hit the bathroom and was completely blown away by the milky way. Never in my life had I seen it so perfectly clear. It is unbelievable.

The only problem now is the temperature.
