Tamrons reaction to problems with this lens reminds me of Canons initial reaction to focus problems with the 1D Mark III. Canon sales were deeply affected by that. Some of the people complaining about the Tamron are excellent photographers and I don't doubt what they are saying at all. In the long run this denial of a problem can only hurt Tamron.

IMO there is not enough information yet to consider "this denial"...

I took 514 images that day and it was again proven to me that Tampon has a issue with certain Canon bodies

to me it just seems weird to post a thread, where you're not the one having the issue...you can't answer any questions that anyone has about it...

Have a 6D and a 7D since I planned to use this lens with the 7D, looks like I'll pass on purchasing this lens until this issue is resolved. Disappointing.

That's the issue, from Tamrons perspective it doesn't exist.. So don't expect it to be resolved..
I too was looking forward to purchasing this lens, but was waiting to hear what Tamrons response and stance was to the gentlemen who sent both the 7D and lens back to be evaluated. So I am somewhat disappointed

Well said Larry, and yes there have been some very talented togs saying this, including the gentleman who I quoted above.

Agreed.

OP, perhaps you could order one and actually see if it is an issue for you. If it is, by all means post about your experience (and return the lens if you feel it is warranted). Has anyone else who is posting in this thread actually had an issue?

I've followed the other Tamron 150-600 threads, and I know at least a couple of well-respected members have had issues, but I think that there's hardly a consensus about this being a problem.

My experience with teaching long lenses, especially to photographers who are using their first long lens: operator error. Not the lens, not the body, technique.

i think the person that's being quoted actually knows what they are doing technique wise.

the funny thing is when looking at the other thread, and seeing who it was making the claim...it's also the same person that i feel has provided the best BIF shots from this lens...

I appreciate you defending his skills.

I agree Dre about his skills and many others with his skills, who returned there lens.

I think that may be saying something then, he claims no problems with the 6D, only with the 7D..which others also had issues with
The work around is to keep pumping your shutter button... For some that's fine, and for others it's not.

Pat Simonetti should be invited out to L&D 14 to demonstrate how it's done.

When I seen it I chuckled to.

The misspelling means that the lens problem happens once a month.

if you check out the thread on the Fred Miranda forum you can clearly see that those who are complaining about the lens are excellent photographers who have used long lenses and have good long lens technique.
