Hello. I have the stock 18mm- 55mm lens kit for my Canon T2i. It's about 4 years old and has never been cleaned internally. It's a mess inside of it. I can see all kinds of dust particles in it. Is there a video or easy way to take this lens apart and clean it myself. Thanks for any feedback.

Mike

The 18-55 is actually the easiest lens I've ever taken a part. Also the calibration on it is really dumb, meaning it doesn't require any precision you just set the optics into place.

It's build quality is not really high end so unfortunately it can act like dust pump, I have some 50 year old lenses that still look mint compared to my kit lens.

Look for ribbon cable repair videos on youtube, they're plenty out there and they should be enough to take it all a apart.
