Hi
I am a 70D owner since Nov 2013 and have long wanted to have 6D. I just got a job as a photographer where there will be many missions to photograph. Everything from pub life to concerts and there is no flash always so appreciated. My idea goes like this.

Sure I will miss 7 frames per second and the fast AF but I've never liked the Zone AF on the 70D when it does not work as good as the 7D. If I switch off my 70D + 18-135 IS with a new 6D with battery grip + 40/2.8 so I planned to use the time to work it performs much better camera in my assignments, other than sports events, but where I have a plan to buy a cheap 1D Mark II that will do well when the images published in a smaller format on the internet.

Usually I photograph wildlife and have more benefit of being able to use high ISO than to have many images per second when most animals I encounter most often is stationary. And I aware of the crop-factor too but I've a 1.4x teleconverter to my tele.

Are these good ideas?

My brother, I have milk in the fridge longer than you have had your 70d;)

I would pick up some better glass, the 18-135 is not a good choice for what your doing.

You need glass more than a new body. Something like a canon 17-55 for pubs, and a 70-200 f/2.8 for concerts.

Neither the 50 1.8 or the 90mm macro will be all that great for what you want to shoot (AF speed wise). Pub and concert style photos will undoubtedly require something else, maybe a different constant f2.8 lens or a faster prime with fast silent AF. The 40mm should be fine, but you will need to foot zoom alot, or have near-stage access.

The Sigma will work in some situations, but I wouldn't think a lens of that size would be all that fun to shoot in those environments either, you would always be hitting somebody, or somebody hitting you.
