Have you looked at the completed listings on eBay? I think you have to be logged in to view

Well so getting one for 1000$ might be worth it?

After work ill take a better look at the description maybe it got a high shutter count / bad condition. But if not ill see no reason not to jump on it then :-D

Yeah, not exactly back up as im just a hobby photographer. But having a second body might help in times where i dont want to switch lenses or to use my 6D only when i require the high iso. Sometimes for landscape or architectural work where i dont need a high iso because i anyway make longer shutterspeeds on a tripod i think a 5D2 is sufficient enough...

I see you already have a 6D. Why the interest in the 5D2?

If you want it as a backup it is hard to beat having 2 identical cameras. Everything is in the same place and you don't have to think about the differences when you switch.
The 6D new price is too close to the 5D2 used price for cost to be a consideration.
The 6D outperforms the 5D2 in just about every area.

Just curious why you would not consider the advantages of 2 identical cameras?

No, I never claimed to be outstanding in the field of photography. I said I was out standing in the field taking photos.

Yes, there's a small "Advanced" link next to the blue search button. Click that and a list option fields and options will populate. Input your desired search subject beneath that you will see "Search Including" with three check boxes. Check "Sold Listings", then click search. Voila, you'll see all listings that have sold by date and price.

I'd say $1,500 is way too much.
Camera Canada is selling used for $1,300 (oos right now)

Around Xmas I saw some go for around $900 locally soo...
But blaster asks a good question - why not just get a 6D?

If the shutter count isnt outrageous. I dont know the current price but past threads have listed the shutter replacement price at $250-$300. So factor that in.
