Has anyone tried out the 82mm Tiffen 3 piece ND filter set?

Its on the way to me as i've seen pretty good reviews for it. Has anybody tried it out with the v2 tilt-shift 24mm? How does it behave (vignetting, quality)?
Yeah i know the filter holders would be better but i think the screw ons are more practical. What do you think, will i get trouble at max shifts etc?

You know something, after i bought those square/rectangular filters i never look at those screw type filters anymore, s i can place those 4x4-4x6" filters on any lens different front thread sizes with the right adapter rings, if you bought those filters then you can't place them on bigger size lens thread, you can place on smaller thread by using a step ring [Up or down].

I bought them 82mm so bigger is difficult.. However i just intended to use it on my 16-35Lii and TS-E 24Lii and theyre both 82mm... For other things ill just add a cheap step down ring (with others i just see me using it on the 50L since in bright daylight its pretty bright, but might be worth just adding a one or two stopp ND for that lens)

I am however interested in experiences of users of the Filters in use with the shift of the 24Lii...

Well, hope some can come here and post for you, but don't wait, you do it yourself and show us the results, or just browse that TS-E 24II thread all of it and you may see some shots where members using one of those 82mm filters.

I guess so... I have posted in the 24 TSE thread but no answers. I should receive them tomorrow if i can believe UPS tracking then i will try it out.

I expected many people would just use the lee or cokin filter sets but i find the screw on filters so much more unobtrusive and practical

Thanks anyway :-)

Well, today i went out to shoot the see with some rocks as foreground and sky with clouds around the sunset, i only used those 4x4/4x5 filters, i've got amazing nice results and never look back to those screw on filters, i have some that i want to sell but at 77mm sizes, but i kept 2 or 3 that i may use one day where i don't need to place multiple filters at once.

Just wait until you get your filters and see if they are doing what you need and get the results you want.

dont bother using them on the 50L. I also have 82mm and step up rings, and it looks ridiculous on the 50L and dangerous too. Just get a separate filter for that.

I'm also a screw on filter kinda guy, but can see myself owning a 17mm TSE one day, and those dont do screwons.......

I have 82mm ND and cirpol, and it vignettes if I stack. Square will be my future, although it's highly annoying to even think about it. Anyhow, keep us updated on how it works.

On what lens does it vignette when you stack?

Just received the filters. 50$ extra for border control. Paid 100$ by buying and shipping from b&h to switzerland. Really expensive taxes?

However its evening now so i will try them out inside just to check vignetting. Will inform you about how it goes :)

Looked in liveview with 2 stacked filters. Max shift vignettes a little but i guess its not that bad. Until now ive got a good feeling. I will head out tomorrow and try it out a little. Will inform you further!

Also the filters seem to be on a very high quality. Feels very nice to use. Slips smoothly onto my lens :-P
