I just got my hands on a used 5D II yesterday and I'm excited to get started. It's an upgrade from a Rebel T3, so it's a big deal for me! I started shooting, and everything has a pink cast. I will research this, of course, but I thought maybe there was a chance that someone knew exactly what this is and I could get an instant answer. Thanks!

Check to see how the WB is set. It is possible that the previous owner had something funky going on. Put it on Auto-WB and see if it helps.

I would go in and do a complete reset to factory settings, just in case, then work from there. Are the pink files in the .jpegs, or showing up in raw as well?

No. It looks that way on the camera display.

Sorry, didn't mean to point out the obvious. Just that sometimes people don't check that sort of thing...

It is in RAW mode, but so frightfully obvious right on the display. Something is definitely off. Factory reset sounds so scary! Can you tell I'm a newb?

As I'm looking at the images on my monitor, it seems like it's just skin that has the cast. Is a factory reset just a good idea anyway since it's a used camera?
