6d for studio work?

So I'm about ready to pick up a 6d. The only thing I'm a bit concerned about is the sync speed. I'm mostly going to be using it for in studio still life/portrait shots with speedlites and maybe eventually strobes. Does anybody have any experience with the 6d in this setting? How has it performed? How about vs. the 5d mkII?

Pretty much all my studio work is done with a 6D and I couldn't be happier.

The 1/180 vs 1/200 sync speed difference between the 6D and 5D series is pretty negligible. It's even less of a concern since I've noticed that quite a few cheaper triggers have some inherent lag in them that require me to shoot at 1/160 or slower even on cameras with a 1/250 sync speed.

In studio doesn't make a difference for me.

The only reason sync speed is an issue is when you need to balance ambient and flash. In the studio its all flash (unless you have a poorly designed studio) so it doesnt matter. Unless you go slow enough to induce motion blur its unlikely that you would notice the difference between 1/30 and 1/200 in a studio.

Shouldn't be an issue. If you're trying to catch motion in a studio you'll likely be relying on flash duration rather than shutter speed anyway.

I agree with the other posters, it shouldn't be an issue in a studio environment. not much of an issue outside with HSS

Its not huge, less than a stop. But count me into the camp that values any little bit. Especially if you like to darken the ambient sunlight, or use long lenses with flash where the safe handhold speed is below the sync speed of the flash.
