Seems to be something in the water lately...LOL! I think I posted several comments on similar "Website Feedback Threads" in the last few days.

Anyway, I just re-designed my site last week and thought I'd post mine for any comments....good or bad. It should display the site on any mobile device, although I don't own one myself. I'm probably the only person in the planet that doesn't own a cell phone. :D

Site is in my signature below...

I like it a good deal, Mike. The photographs are very good and the writing is well done and not too much. As should be the case on any photo website, I get the impression the images are the focus. And I am impressed with the unobtrusive but clear way you have shown your Christian faith.

Just a couple of suggestions:

1. I get the earth tones and the landscape work but it seems almost too subdued. I think I would like a touch of a brighter color -maybe a stronger red for the links.

2. The family and school photographs in the blog section seem out of place even if they are nicely buried and you really gotta look to find them. Are these there for family and friends? I have family from east to west coast. I share with them with via a private page on my ShootProof (external link) site. I can even provide free downloads to them. DropBox is another solution.

BTW, I very much appreciate your attention to and help with SEO. I've seen several posts here where you have made SEO comments. That's really valuable. Thanks.

I decided a long time ago to include family stuff in my blog mainly to show people "Me". If I get "discovered" and go big, maybe I'll stop posting family stuff on the blog. :) I do that with my Facebook page though. I never post family stuff on my "business page".

Thank Richard!

I like it, too, Mike. I agree with Richard on the colors. Just a bit more contrast I think would make it just perfect.

Blessings to you!

Good enough for me. It certainly is personal and done in a quiet manner that doesn't interfere with the rest of the site.

Thanks Brenda!

Not opposed to changing the link colors. What color would you suggest for the links? I'm currently using '7b1d20' at about 70% opacity. The hover shows 100% opacity.

Well, I keep toggling back and forth between your profile pic on your facebook page and the web-site. I'd go with the red in the facebook profile. If it's the same, then just consider changing the font to be more bold. I really like the tones in your facebook profile image. The background is lighter, too, thus adding more contrast.

The red is the same, but my Facebook background is lighter. The FB background was the same color I used from my old website background. Just forgot to change the FB image.

I'll have to think about that.

I added `a {font-weight:bold;}` to the link. :)

You really want those social media icons up top and not lost at the bottom of the page.

I'd also consider increasing the font size on the menu items. When you roll over especially the text looks lost.

Sorry one last thing... the hyperlinks in the text. For me Bold, different colour and underlined is overkill. I'd drop the bold.

Beautiful work! I love your website! This might be off topic, but I think you are an inspiration! Love your inspirational images with the Bible verses!
