Any of you guys know if someone has done a video on lighting your subject that really goes in depth with not only the setup but gives information on light settings and camera settings?

This question cannot be answered. There is no specific camera setting or power settings on a video light because the ambient lighting you are in is the deciding factor. Also styles come into play here. For me, I want just enough light to get the shadows out of the eye sockets and to create a catchlight in the eyes. So my power levels are traditionally very low on the video lights and i shoot at higher iso's in AV mode so that i can hand hold an accomplish my goals.

What lights do you use and do you do multiple lights?

I bought some cheap cheap video lights off amazon for like $39.00 each. Plastic, crap quality just so i could try them out and see if it was something i would really be interested in.

I cant kill these lights. Ive dropped them and they are like the ever ready bunny. They keep on going:eek:

I love video lights so im going to replace them for better ones this season. Im trying to find nice quality round lights v/s the square ones. But these at B&H are excellent,, but expensive

Those are way out of my league as far as price goes.

I'm assuming you're looking for a video about lighting, not about video lights per se. I'd suggest looking for videos by Joe McNally and/or Zach Arias. They both have videos on YouTube, and possibly some for sale also (Zach Arias has a new version of his One Light video available for pre-order here http://dedpxl.com/product/onelight/ (external link)). They may or may not have specific settings info., but they will be helpful in learning the nuts and bolts of lighting - both are masters of the art. Also, have you checked out the stuff on http://strobist.blogspot.com/ (external link)? Lots of great info., although generally not presented as videos. Finally, my other favorite site for learning lighting, http://neilvn.com …h-photography-techniques/ (external link); he has some videos on Vimeo, but I haven't checked them out to see the content - http://vimeo.com/neilvn (external link).

Some Canon stuff and a little bit of Yongnuo.
