So I had my first studio shoot not long ago.

The model was fantastic to work with and will be shooting with her again soon.

Plenty more on my website if you would like to view them.

First pic is fantastic! All the elements (pose, background, lighting, clothing, makeup, etc.) bring attention right to the face. The eye makeup in particular is spectacular. Did you have a makeup artist, or did the model do her own?
Though you say this was your first studio shoot, you apparently have a good knowledge of how to light both low-key and high-key portraits, and a good eye for highlight/shadow. Both pictures are well lit with no unflattering shadows.

Hi Sean,

Thank you for your comments.

I had a hair/mua help out. She was great and pretty much nailed what I wanted. I also hada stylist friend help out with the outfits. Whilst this is my first studio shoot I have done a few shoot outdoors. Before starting model photography I did a fair bit of research on lighting and also talked to a model photographer mate.
I watched Zack Arias - One Light tutorial a few times too =)

Thanks again.

Matt.
