How did I buy 2 of the same lens?

I kind of feel like a big dummy now. I've been debating on a Canon 24-105L for a while now. I finally decided about 2 weeks ago that I was going to pick one up so I started looking on POTN, eBay, and other places. Sealed the deal on one yesterday from another group but still had a few in "my eBay". I was about to bid one yesterday but got distracted and ended up not bidding on it and closed the app.

Fast forward to today and I was browsing eBay on my phone app again and opened up the listing I was going to bid on with the intention of deleting it from my eBay. Well, got distracted again and put my phone down. I come back and my son had grabbed my phone and of all things placed my bid from last night! Turns out I won the auction. Hahaha! Now I've got 1 24-105 on the way and 1 in my cart on eBay ready for payment. What are the odds?

I guess it's my fault since I didn't close out the app completely but still. What can I do but laugh about it and look at the positive side- I should be able to sell one for what I paid, or will pay, for it.

Not looking for any response in particular. Just a random thread to "vent" photography-wise. I can't to y wife since she just gives me "the look".

In this situation only, i'd say "the look" is warranted!

If my wife gave me 'that look' every time I did something stupid, that would be the only face I'd ever see. At least you can sell the second lens.

Test both lenses thoroughly, and keep the sharper/better copy variation. Sell the other.
