What 1.4x - used with 7D and Sigma 70-200mm f/2.8 EX DG OS HSM.

I want a little more reach at the games and minor birding.
I would just like a 1.4x that will work correctly and report the correct info etc.

Please link exact models if possible, thank you very much for any advice.

I've had a Tamron SP 1.4x TC (the white model) for quite a few years. Very good image quality.

I believe one of the Kenkos is the same model.

Are these 3rd party lenses actually better than the new Canon version 3, or are they just cheaper?

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

One problem I see with Canon TCs is that they can only be used with designated Canon lenses.
