It's been a brutal winter here in Milwaukee with ice cover on Lake Michigan reaching a record 91%. The inner harbor has been frozen so long that diving ducks have been found inland either dead, or hopping around in fields looking for food. Here's some shots that I've gotten when there has been a little open water in the harbor. They love diving for the Zebra Muscles that are on the bottom.
