Moorhen in the sun

From yesterday when we had a really sunny day in Sweden.

Canon 7D 300 2.8 + 1.4tc. iso 400 1/500 5.6

Is it OK or is the light too harsh?

Very nice. You could easily perk that up (bring up shadows or decrease the contrast).

I tried to ease up the shadows a bit but it did not look good, i prefer it like this even if it is a bit hard light.
