.THM files from D60

Yes, the old D60 (not the 60D, I know the difference). I picked up one of these to play with/test some old lenses (Pre-10D Sigmas and the like), and while I'm actually very impressed with the image quality, I'm not sure about the files it creates.

There is the .CRW (RAW) and a side-file .THM (Thumbnail). I've searched, and it's about a 50/50 split on whether or not to keep the thm's. Seems the thm file contains exif info not embedded in the CRW file. Is that correct? If I move the CRW file, I guess I have to also move the THM file?

Should I keep these for any significant reason? I have a feeling they're going to be a PITA after a while.

Back in the day, (it wasn't a Canon, it was a Minolta, but it also made thm thumbnail files) I trashed them right away.

I don't have the camera, my first (and only) cameras to shoot Raw have been Canon DSLRs, so I'd only suggest that you experiment, see if there is a significant difference, and choose for yourself!
