After an almost three year break I am getting back into the business. All of these were taken with 7D and 300 2.8. C&C welcome

The action looks spot on, but what's wrong with the grass?

Looks like the grass has been burnt by a strong dry sunny period, sometimes see grass this bad when photographing summer football tournaments but this seems extreme.

GRas goes dormant when it gets cold depending on the area you live and the type of grass. In the Northeast of the US a lot of grass is in this state because we are coming out of winter.

Also, Zoysia (spelling, too lazy to google it) grass will turn this color as the growing season comes to an end as well.

I love the goalie shot with his eyes closed. Good capture.

Good horizons and focus looks good as well. Try and capture another player in the image as well. Gives more of a feel as to the game IMO.

Good job for just getting back into the swing of things.

Yep this is typical Bermuda grass in the winter in Texas. All the pics are my son that is why they are all the same :) appreciate the comments
