Kirst; practicing beauty(ish) editing

I'm trying to improve my skillz in meticulous beauty type retouching, without going *too* far and landing into Barbie / mannequin territory. My focus on these was her skin, since I didn't really want to play around with compositing a bunch of hair to make that perfect (I kind of like it messy anyway). Kirst Callahan is an amazing model, if you're in the NE area you should book her if you get a chance! We had a lot of fun playing around with a bunch of weird stuff I had. C&C welcome, although you should know that I'm definitely not going for a "natural" portrait look with these, per se. I'm also still fiddling around with them as there are a couple of things that could be better. Thanks for looking

Ok, whoa... I'm seeing some weird things happening in her skin on some of these that aren't there on the full-res file as far as I can see. I guess flickr's compression software sucks.

Good job on the lighting and processing. Framing and composition could be much better though, framing is way too tight on most of the pictures, I think the best ones would be 1 and 4. I like the overall quality and clarity of all the shots though.

Ooh blast from the past! Also hey this isn't so bad for being 4 years old and having gone in a different direction. I would shoot and retouch this differently now, but I don't want to delete the post so that's good, lol.

Think the lighting is really nice. Very pretty eyes.
