Every week we select a new theme, and then go out and shoot that theme. This weeks the theme is Color and Glass. As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

Let's get some photos that combine color and glass...

Here are the rules:

1. Shots need to be taken between Monday posting and the following Monday by Sunset (Whenever that is for you ). Because this activity is supposed to encourage us to get out and shoot, please don't post old shots from your archives. Snapshots and art are equally welcome -- just get out & shoot, and then share!

2. Post your shots at any time during the week.

3. Post a maximum of two shots if you're uploading them to POTN (i.e., attaching them). You can post more than two if you're linking to shots that are not hosted by POTN (i.e. embedding them), but keep within POTN rules. Also keep within POTN rules about size. A copy of the size rules can be found here: IMAGE POSTING RULES

That's it! Have fun! . As always be as imaginative/creative as you like when interpreting the theme, creativity is what we're looking for.

An index to previous weeks can be found here: POTN WORLDWIDE PHOTO WEEK INDEX

That's it! Have fun!

Well, just to set this theme off I grabbed camera, still with macro lens on from yesterday's bug chasing, and shot this wine bottle, currently in use as a vase in our kitchen!

Now I'm curious as well. :D

I came home and took this picture. It's a glass votive candle holder, reflecting the sunset through my windows.

^^^That's lovely Stina.

Okay guys...I had to use a different lens...the MP-E was at the end of it's range. This is the bottle...it was Giesens Late Harvest Riesling...a superb dessert wine in its day!

What a lovely bottle. The macro shot had me thinking the bottle was upside down. :o

Yes, I always loved the colour of it...and the fact that it's on a slight lean!

That's great..and I'm glad I asked!
I also thought it might be the bottom of the bottle .. You and John_B have really good control and understanding of that lens.

The MP-E may be the most confounding lens to me ... I may never get the hang of it..

Keep at it Joayne...it's worth it when you do click with it. I'm even using it hand held sometimes, with flash of course otherwise the exposures are too long! (But I still prefer a tripod though.)

Wow, already??? You guys are good!!
I'm still at: "colour and glass, colour and glass, hmmm... how does one do that?"

Great shot, Richard and a very good looking bottle that is!
And Stina, that is one ingenious shot! Looks wonderful.

I agree with everything Levina said! I like Ricardo's blue bottle and Stina's votive/reflection. But, wow, so fast!!

I'm definitely falling behind. Ricardo and Stina posted already, while I just now got out of bed. ;) Gee, I'm still having my morning coffee and feeding the cat.

And just to make matters worse, I don't even know what Joayne meant when she mentioned Stina's DST.

DST???? What's that?

Going back to bed ..............

I'm so glad you said that, because I don't know what DST is either!!
