I'd like to just see it come out, before I spend my camera fund money on something else.

I have enough saved at the moment for the 7D2 but if a new 100-400 or a new 400L IS came out, I would be tempted. Soon would be nice as I feel compelled to wait until lots of 7D2s are in the field and getting amazing results before I put my money down.

On a side note, Canon Direct has the 7D refurbs for 30% off. I don't remember a sale with that deep a discount. I got 20% off of my 60D refurb when I purchased it.

It might mean absolutely nothing, but it is interesting.

^^^ Here's hoping. I almost pulled the trigger on the 30% discount when I saw that using the CLP program but I can wait a while longer.

AF will be between 19 - 61 points. Canon won't fit the same AF system as the 1DX/5D3, not gonna happen.

Just like nobody thought they would put the 61 point AF in the 5D3, right?! ;) And like nobody thought Canon would create the 7D in the first place!

If it's still a crop sensor (probably) then 19 points with a slightly improved focus system is fine, maybe 2 or 3 more megapixels, and 1.5 - 2 stops better iso quality and I think it will be a winner. Frame rate is decent enough but maybe 1 or 2 faster. Buffer is fine for what I do. Oh, a lockable dial would be nice.

There a 3 strong front runners in the poll:
DR, AF points and dual cards.

Think new Canon lenses are overpriced? Lots (and lots) of data will set you free!

How about that it actually be announced. I'd like that.

Decent 8000 ISO
10Fps
Excellent weather sealing.
Network port
1Dx focussing

No more than £1999.99 (dream on if it had those features)

Oh and I need it before September this when the new football (soccer) season starts in the UK.
