Yeah, 10-20 would most likely be too wide for a walkaround. Some do it, and like it... but not many.

The new Tokina 12-28 is mch wider than the standard zooms but still is long enough to get in the normal range. It might not be half bad as a walk around lens when one is interested primarily in landscapes.
