Curves and Channels Help

Thanks to this forum, I down loaded an update for PSE 3 to be able to use Curves and Channels (and probably more). I look forward to the day when they can apply it to PSE 4. I looked back in this section but could not easily find the kind source.

Anyway, I am book poor so I am looking for help on how to use these two powerful tools. Can any suggest an online tutorial or share there own knowledge and technique?
