Hi,
Is there a reason why I should not use my tripod quick release plate to built this gliding strap?
The plate: e.g. http://www.amazon.com …ting-4-Inch/dp/B001A1RMXG![]()

I bought a bosstrap. Reasonable and I believe much more secure. I always want C&C on my shots.

I can't see any reason why you cannot use the release plate. With the release plate at least you can still set your camera standing right up. As a matter of fact I used that plate on my paracord wrist strap DIY. Jun.Roberto.Dizon.Gregorio

I never heard of a lug giving way or coming loose.

CScottIV I should keep some things to myself! More info | Mar 15, 2014 17:25 | #5 The weakest link here is the key ring. A normal key ring (without the hinge) would resolve that. Charles
