I had an awesome encounter with a Red-tailed a couple of days ago. This guy (or gal?) let me get closer than any hawk ever has, and let me shoot photos for almost an hour. He switched trees twice and eventually went after something on the ground, unfortunately coming up empty. Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the comments. It really was a special chance for me. I have made many attempts at photographing hawks, with various degrees of success. This one gave me the best opportunity by far.
