I know this is going to sound like a dumb question, but here it goes.

I have Photoshop 7, and I am just wondering with this, do I have Adobe Camera Raw, or is it something seperate. I also have the software that comes with my Canon 20D is this pretty much like ACR, or is ACR better? Also if I do have ACR with my Photoshop 7, how do I get to it? And what is Adobe Bridge, is it included in Photoshop7, or is it something else? I'm trying to figure out how to start processing my raw files, and I'm just a little bit lost at the moment.

Thanks to anyone for their help,
Lally

Both are a part of the latest version of PhotoShop..(CS2) You would need to upgrade to use them

You can read about it here

I found the page here

I don't believe that ACR is available for PHotoshop 7. You could download a demo of Capture One LE (sells for around $100) from http://www.phaseone.com/ (external link) or consider purchasing the CS2 upgrade from Adobe for $150. If you're going to be creating wedding albums, I'd recommend that you spend the extra $350 (total = $500) for an upgrade from Photoshop 7 to Creative Suite. This will add InDesign, which is handy for doing any kind of layout owrk (invitations, postcards, custom album design, etc.).

Hope this helps!

Well, you *could* buy a stand-alone version for Camera Raw for Photoshop 7, but it wasn't really good. So it's better to upgrade to CS2 and the fee isn't too bad and the upgrade is well worth the money for the rest of your needs too.

But there's other Raw converters you can use, some even free. So you can convert your image, save it as tiff or jpg and keep working on it in Photoshop 7. What operating system are you using?

Get the CS2 upgrade. It will be worth it.

you can download rawshooter essentials and save the upgrade price.

then upgrade Photoshop when you need more features.
