5d Miii - Lenses won't focus

It was purchased via a group deal here through Adorama in late 2012. It fell from the back of my SUV (unzipped bag) in August and started giving the error 40 after that. I used to be able turn turn it off and on a few times and then it would work again but in November that trick totally stopped. I sent it to the repair center in CA and apparently it was so screwed up they couldn't fix it there.

Luckily I don't have any client sessions for the next 6 weeks so I'm not in a huge hurry if they have to send it overseas again.

Do you have a different battery you can try? I don't own a 5dIII, but my 500D and 5Dc both act very funny with a low or really old battery.

I do not have another battery to try, but based on on my previous repair I think I'm just going to send it in. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something obvious before I spend the money on the repair...maybe I can get insurance to cover my shipping
