AHL Hockey - Rochester at Rockford 03-04-14

Nothing too special here. Was shooting for the team this evening and had to get mostly single players, so not as many action shots. Did manage a few keepers:

since i have to shoot all sorts of stuff, i try to get some good individual shots at each game. the boys (Tier II juniors NAHL) often use them for their facebook pages...

Nice work, as usual. As you said you had to focus on single player shots, did it work out better still shooting from above?

@Dave - I used my normal presets, but the red really seems to pop on the Rochester jerseys. In regards to the goalie/defenseman color differentiation, I often find that the goalie jerseys and chest patches are darker than the rest of the other player sweaters and patches. Not sure if it's something to do with padding or making the jersey different since it takes more punishment.

@Ricky - From shooting at center ice, it's a little harder to get good forward-facing shots because you have to try to catch the defense in a breakout, so it's harder to get shots of forwards unless they are carrying the puck through the zones. I haven't shot from the concourse area by the corners in quite awhile, so I think next game I have to shoot the players I am going to do that so I can get the forwards that play up the ice in more of the shots.
