I have been using portrait professional for quite a while now and love the results I have been achieving with it. I recently upgraded to the new version and love it even more! The problem I am having is with the plug-in which links the program to my Elements 9. I used this with my previous version and it worked flawlessly allowing me to switch to portrait pro to do some editing while I have the pic opened in elements and then switching back effortlessly. The actual problem is that after running the plug-in installer, elements still only recognizes the previous version of portrait professional. Do I need to uninstall the previous version or does the new version use some of the software associated with the previous one? Perhaps I have missed something? Thanks for any and all input!

I don't have the plug-in, but sure, if you are having this difficulty, un-install the previous version. Then, you may want to re-install the newer version...?

The new program has the plug-in and I have run it, several times, but the older version is still the one that gets recognized through elements.

I don't know elements, but look for something called plugin manager or similar, deactivate (or delete/remove) the old one and add the new one. Plugin file might have version number attached. If that doesn't work, look on their website for instructions too.
