Took this a few nights ago...there was a lot of haze in the sky so i wasn't sure the moon was going to have a decent appearance...glad i was wrong :)

I like your shot. The EXIF sort of started to make me think. You shot this with a 5d3 using 70-200 2.8 at 200mm. I would have used my 5d3 with 16-35 2.8 at 35mm.

As I said I like your shot. What is your thinking on using the 70-200 ?

Also, the time shown was 19:31. Doesn't seem like it would be dark enough at that time.

BTW the last time I was in San Diego was to shoot the Exxon Valdez (now the Oriental Nicety) when it was there for repairs.

My comment would be I think there needs to be more detail in the moon. If it's there in the file I would make sure it would be in the final image.

This was at 90mm so i don't think the 16-35 wouldn't have worked quite as good with the shot...

Like both shots - I agree about the detail in the moon.

I think I like the second shot a bit better in terms of composition. In the first I would like to see what it is like if you crop out the bottom quarter
